I am an enthusiastic bird watcher and naturalist, based in West Cumbria ( The Lake District ). I live in a very rural area, bounded by the Lakeland fells and the Irish sea, and as such a lot of my photography is taken in this area.

However, I often take trips to enjoy the Landscape, bird life and wildlife both near and far from my home and I hope to build a dairy of these trips on these pages as the web site develops.
